Who do I speak to if I have specific circumstances or concerns? If you have special circumstances such as a disability or have any concerns about your ability to complete this swim, we would much rather you contacted us at enquiries@henleyswim.com before entering.
Where do I enter? The 2012 events will be open for entries in early December. You can either click on the link on the relevant Event information page or go directly to the Entries page, which has links for you to enter the events of your choice.
Am I happy with all this disclaimer stuff? This is our means of telling you there is a risk here and your means of telling us that you are happy with the risks.
Not sure which category to do? If you have any doubts, or are in any way new to open water swimming we would strongly encourage you to enter the Sporting category with a wetsuit. The traditional category is only for experienced open water swimmers – if you do intend to enter this category we would expect you to have carried out a number of open water swims in just Speedos and be completely comfortable with the lack of buoyancy and temperature.
I have entered how will I know if I am in? You will receive an email to confirm your entry. However, please note that for the first time in 2012 the Henley Classic will entry will be a Lottery draw. Go to the Henley Classic page for full details of this process.
How will I know what the latest news is on the swim? Please check back regularly as we will be updating the site with all the latest news and gossip. You can also find us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to be updated regularly during the season.
How will I find you on the day? The Registration area will be clearly marked. Please see the relevant Course Map for your event, which can be found on the Event details page of the website. You will also find this information in your Event Information Pack.
Can I volunteer on the day? We would be delighted to accommodate any offers of help on the day. This is an excellent way of seeing things up close, perhaps with a view to taking part next year? We will also be offering anyone who helps a goodie bag and the potential of a priority entry in the following year’s event, subject to the conditions of the swim at that time.
